OOo4Kids – Office Suite Just for Kids
OOo4Kids, for the first time; an office suite designed just for kids.
Trying to teach your kids to use word process or spread sheets can be daunting especially because most office suites are designed for adults. However, that is now about to change with the introduction of OOo4Kids.
OOo4Kids is designed and created specifically for kids between the ages of seven and 12 by the French-based EducOO organization. It is based on the famous Open Office (OpenOffice.org) from Apache Foundation.
This is also the first ever office suite for kids. The redesign includes larger texts and bright colors which permeates all aspects of the office suite.
The tool bars have been reorganized simplified, and fonts that children find easier to use have been used. The spread sheet column and rows have been reduced, and functions are provided to adapt to the user’s level.
OOo4Kids can be installed in PC (32 bit), Mac OS X, Linux (32 and 64 bit) and Apple’s iOS, but the best thing about this office suite, is that it’s free.
Just a note to parents who want to install the program, you may find anti-malware programs may flag OOo4Kids as malware. This is because it may not be listed in their database.
