LingCrop Graduate Program
We in the Summer Institute of Linguistics PNG (SIL-PNG) and the PNG Bible Translation Association (PNG BTA) desire that all people of God be able to access the Bible in the language that speaks clearly to them, as we believe God wants everyone to know Him through His Word. We work with churches and other local organizations to translate the Bible into the languages of PNG. Linguistic research and language development (to design alphabets and produce dictionaries) are part of what is needed to get this job done. A task that is life-changing, challenging, stimulating and rewarding. You can be a part of this through our new linguistics consultant training program called LingCrop (Linguistics Consulting Resource of PNG). A continuation opportunity exists for an MA in Linguistics abroad.
