Students await court date
Kokopo – More than 80 male students who were allegedly caught last October in the midst of an occult practice are still awaiting their court dates, The National reports.
East New Britain provincial police commander Inspector Joseph Tabali said the students were released on bail but a court date was not set yet. 74 students paid K100 while 7 were charged K400 bail.
It is alleged that the students were caught practicing the occult while intoxicated on alcohol and drugs at Mamapua beach between Butuwin and Kokopo Secondary School. The majority of students are from Malabunga.
