Updated PNG Air Domestic Travel Measures
PNG Air wishes to advise our Customers of the revised protocols for domestic travel as issued by the Office of the Controller on the 30 June 2021.
As per this amendment to measure No.3 on Domestic Travel, no unvaccinated person may travel by aircraft, from one province in PNG to another province, except for persons who have the following valid reasons for travel:
- Students returning to their usual place of residence or returning to their educational institution;
- Persons returning to their usual residence;
- Essential business travel;
- Seeking medical assistance and medivac and;
- Emergency transport, including but not limited to repatriation of deceased person.
For the purposes of this paragraph a person is considered vaccinated if they have received one dose, even if to be fully vaccinated they would require 2 doses of a vaccine. The effect of this measure is to allow persons who are vaccinated to travel without restriction domestically.
Persons who have not yet received a vaccine can still travel on PNG Air services, provided the passengers must fill out Air Passenger Travel Forms (APTF) at the Sales Office, and the Health Declaration Form upon arrival at your destination.
All passengers must still ensure compliance with the other domestic travel measures, including mandatory wearing of face masks onboard all PNG Air services.
For more information on these new measures, please visit the National Control Center Website, or contact our Call Center on 16111 (toll free) or 7411 2644.
Flight bookings can still be made via our website, phone, email to reservations@pngair.com.pg or by visiting your nearest PNG Air or Post PNG Sales Office.
