PNG Air support staff
The coronavirus or COVID-19, has disrupted businesses day-to-day routines across the country in one way or another, and PNG Air is no different. With the commencement of State of Emergency (SOE), PNG Air has been operating a reduced schedule which also impacted our staffing levels.
Over the past week Human Resources Department have been distributing Gift Cards (Food Vouchers) to the value of K100.00 for all staff who were stood down for the month of April, as we understand the challenges faced with the pandemic in place, has not only has affected them professionally, but also personally.
Our Staff are the back bone of the airline, who work tremendously hard to ensure we deliver a great service to the people of Papua New Guinea, as the peoples airline. Business and companies are required to protect their workers; it is also a moral responsibility for us to take care of our staff as well.
The staff support will see through to continue to this month, and the months that follows until our scheduled day to day operations resume.
PNG Air Ltd operates ATR 72-600 and Dash 8 aircraft to 25 ports throughout PNG, with 410 flights each week carrying over 500,000 passengers each year.
