Telikom PNG Alert: Fraudulent Purchase Orders
Telikom PNG is warning the general public, suppliers and service providers against fraudulent purchase orders using Manual Local Purchase Orders (MLPO) supposedly from the telecommunications company.
In a public notice, Telikom PNG advised service providers and suppliers not to accept any purchase orders using the MLPO stating that the company’s official orders is “system generated with official company stamp and signed by Telikom’s Supply Chain Manager.”
Telikom stated that there have been incidences of fraudulent use of the MLPO by former employees and are urging suppliers and service providers to contact the Supply Chain Manager for immediate verification before accepting any purchase orders.
The telecommunications company will not take responsibility on the MLPO accepted by service providers.
