BSP Introduces 3D Secure Platform for Online Security
Bank South Pacific (BSP) has introduced the 3D Secure platform to all Visa and MasterCard it has issued. This took effect on April 20, 2015.
3D Secure is an XML based protocol that creates an additional layer of protection for online credit or debit transactions. It utilizes a 3 domain model to tie the financial authorization process with online authorization.
The security platform will create a third level authentication process to validate any online transaction. This will either be done with an password sent to the registered mobile phone number or by answering security questions online.
BSP is also calling for Visa and MasterCard holders to register for the service via their registered Internet Banking account free of charge, and failure to do so may result in online purchases being declined.
Further information can be obtained by contacting BSP Customer Service on 7030 1212 /320 1212 or servicebsp@bsp.com.pg

I heard many people complaining about this but they don’t have an idea how important to have better security while shopping online. There are many cases about fraudulent activities being done online every day that is very alarming. So an added security is greatly appreciated.
