BSP Launches Mobile Banking App
Bank South Pacific (BSP) has just launched a mobile banking app for Android and Apple users in Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Monday (18 August, 2014).
The app is an upgrade of BSP’s mobile SMS banking service and allows clients to their online banking via mobile devices including transferring funds, paying bills and scheduling payments.
On BSP’s website, General Manager for Retail Banking, Kili Tambua, said the approach was taken after more Papua New Guineans became technologically savvy.
“We began with Mobile Banking, Internet banking, and now the Mobile Banking Smart Phone App, which caters for the growing number of our customers who have smartphones.
This is part of our efforts in ensuring that we make financial services more accessible for our customers, which saves them valuable time and money.”
