PNG women nominated for PICISOC board
Two Papua New Guinean (PNG) women have been nominated for the Pacific Islands Chapter of the Internet Society (PICIOS) board and represent a milestone in the progress of women and girls in the ICT industry, according to caitsservicespng.com
The two; Winifred Kula Amini and Priscila Kevin, are the nominees and both have been outstanding in the industry in PNG.
Winifred has over 15 years of experience in the ICT industry and is currently the vice president for the PNG Computer Society and an executive with the PNG ICT Cluster. She also holds a Masters in Business from the University of Queensland, Australia and a Bachelor in Computer Science from the University of Technology in Lae, PNG.
Priscila also has over a decade in the ICT industry under her belt with 14 years with various roles from consulting to systems administration to management. She currently owns her own ICT company In4Net Ltd which provides enterprise resource planning and management consulting services. She holds a Bachelor in Science and Computer Science from the University of Technology and has various other ICT certifications.
Other nominations include Brian Louey-Gung and Edwin Liava’a from Fiji and Ikapote Tavalea from Tonga.
