COVID 19 AND SOE OPERATIONS

Police in NCD and Central have been told to exercise common sense and restraint.
RESTRATEGISING APPROACH TO ENFORCEMENT OF ORDERS- COMMUNITY TO TAKE MORE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR OWN HEALTH
Commander Wagambie with Metropolitan Superintendent Perou Ndranou and PPC Central Tepp Opai are restrategising Police approach to enforcing the Orders. It will now be up to the community to take ownership.
The SOE Orders will still be enforced but in a slightly different manner.
NOT ALL POLICE ARE BAD
Commander Wagambie has reminded the Public that not all Police are bad. Only a few tarnish the reputation of the hardworking majority.
Police are carrying out directives of the State of Emergency.

IMPORTANCE OF VICTIMS COMING FORWARD TO LAY OFFICIAL COMPLAINT
In order for action to be taken. Victims must come forward to be interviewed by Internal Affairs investigators so that signed statements can be taken. An official complaint with signed statements will ensure that necessary administrative and/or criminal process can take place.
Once the Toll Free number is available then we shall post it on this page for members of the public.
We ask that everyone has patience and comply with SOE Orders issued by the Controller, on behalf of the Government. As long as we cooperate we will get through this together.
The Covid 19 Pandemic has put us in a situation where many people are feeling the pinch, especially those who do not have a fixed income and rely on the informal sector. It has also hit hard on those who have been laid of from work.
How long will this last? We don’t know but let us all pray to God that it ends soon.
The Divisional Commander, Metropolitan Superintendent NCD and PPC Central are determined to ensure that we win back public trust and confidence. In order to do that we require formal complaints to be laid.
I want us to serve law abiding citizens well, deal with offenders firm but humanely. Its now time to weed out the rotten apples so that complaints against Police do not demoralise our hard working committed personnel. We also have to work hard to win back public confidence
