How to Identify the Different Types of Jade
If you browse Facebook’s various market pages, you will find a lot of people selling rocks, minerals etc that they claim to be jade. Unfortunately, it is not easy for a layman to identify these rocks and the only way to be certain to get expert opinion or get the rocks tested – both of which can cost money.
Now, I am not an expert in the subject but in 2015, whilst in China, I visited a factory in Beijing that produced jade jewelry and had the opportunity to video an expert give a basic lesson on identifying the different types of jade.
