There is an invisible war going on between Chinese and Vietnamese hackers targeting websites belonging to each other’s respective countries.
The border dispute over the Spratly Islands escalated into an all-out cyber with the Chinese reported hacking into a Vietnamese website and putting up an image of their flag. The Vietnamese responded by hacking several Chinese sites and posted images of armed men.
The attacks were not only limited to individual websites, government and enterprise sites have become primary targets for Chinese hackers.
Security experts claim that the attacks show a lack in website security measures.
