Alleged student arsonist arrested
The disgruntled student who allegedly burnt down a building at Kilakila Secondary in the Moresby South electorate has been arrested by police.
According to a video released by Moresby South MP, Justin Tkatchenko, the culprit was apprehended by Badili police and is going through the normal procedures of being charged.
Tkatchenko said he was disappointed that the culprit is one of the students that is being sponsored by the TVET program funded in collaboration with the National Capital District (NCD) Governor, Powes Parkop.
So it’s really, really disappointing. That here we are trying to educate our kids, and the ones we are educating are the ones that unfortunately burnt this building down.

Tkatchenko said the most important thing was that anyone who breaks the laws need to pay for the consequences of their actions.
