The Laser Razor; 21st Century Shaving
I hate shaving in the mornings especially when I’m late and rushing for work. I get razor burns, scratches and sometimes accidental nicks. However, that could all change with a new Kick-Starter called Skarp Razor; a laser razor.
Yes, you read right – a laser razor!
Developed by Skarp Technologies, the razor is being developed with the intention of removing all the major hassles of shaving that everyone faces, and some more. It is also environmentally friendly and inexpensive.
The use of laser technology will eliminate or at least cut down the demand for disposable razors. According to the United States (US) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over 2 billion disposable razors are used in American alone. This is staggering considering it is only one country.
The public has responded well to the technology. So far, Skarp’s Kick-Starter campaign is going well and the company has reached over $1,500,000 and climbing. Their initial target was only $160, 000.
The creative minds behind the razor are not new to the cosmetics industry with co-founder, Morgan Gustvasson, having invented the Intense Pulse Light (IPL); the preferred technology for dermatology and hair removal today, while Paul Binun is an optical engineer with Hanal Optronics in San Diego.
Their patented device is configured to cut hair using laser light wavelength that targets predetermined molecules responsible for hair color allowing the cut right to the shaft.
Skarp Technologies already have preliminary agreement with manufacturers but require capital. You can support the technology by donating to their Kick-Starter page.
