IEA TAFE offering ICND courses
The IEA College of TAFE is offering short courses for Cisco – Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) 1 & 2, at their Ela Beach campus in Port Moresby, and registrations are now open.
The courses cost at K5, 500 each and will be conducted over a period of five (5) Saturdays in the months of August and September.
ICND 1 will start on August 6, and is the first step in achieving a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate. It includes the following topics:
- Operation of IP data networks;
- LAN switching technologies;
- IP addressing;
- IP routing technologies;
- IP services;
- Managed network devices security;
- WAN connectivity, and;
- Basic troubleshooting;
ICND 2, which starts on September 10, is a bit more advanced and provides knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot a small to medium sized enterprise network, covers the following topics:
- LAN switching technologies;
- IP routing technologies;
- IP services;
- Troubleshooting, and;
- WAN technologies.
