Paradise Foods warn against SMS Scam
It seems scammers are using technology to swindle unsuspecting Papua New Guineans to part with their hard earned monies. Already, ANZ, BSP and Trukai have warned the public against SMS and email scams seeking personal details – and now Paradise Foods Ltd has joined the list.
In a public notice, the food and beverage maker including Nambawan Biscuits warned the public that the company has never conducted any SMS promotion in the country and that perpetrators of the message are not in the employ of the company.
They also warned the public not to reply to any such message and delete the message.
The public are advised to ignore these messages, DO NOT provide your name, DO NOT provide your bank account details, DO NOT respond at all, as this is a scam.
Paradise Foods is the latest in a number of scams conducted by con artists trying to get personal information or swindle money from the unsuspecting public.
