How to Top Up, Check Balance or Transfer Credits Using Citifon SMS
Citifon is Telikom PNG’s mobile service provider and now offers subscribers the ability to top up, check their balance and transfer credits using SMS. Here is a basic rundown of what you can do.
Check Voice and Data Account Balance
- Create a new SMS
- Type your subscriber number
- Send to 1256 and wait for feedback
Recharge your Prepaid Account
- Buy prepaid card (Rait Card/Telikad) and scratch panel to reveal 12 digit voucher number
- Create new SMS
- Type voucher number
- Send to 1257 and wait for feedback
Recharge or Transfer Credits to your Prepaid ADSL, WiMAX, EVDO, Fixed Line or Fixed Wireless Account using Citifon.
One of the advantages of Citifon’s new SMS service is the ability to recharge all the accounts you have with Telikom.

- Create new SMS
- Type voucher and subscriber number in this format “voucher*subscriber” (13456789012*76123456)
- Send to 1257 and wait for feedback
Credit transfer option
- Create new SMS
- Type amount and recipient number in this format “amount*recipient” (100*76123456)
- Send to 1258 and wait for feedback
