Sibunakau on Network Access Control
Network security is an essential component of IT security that is sadly neglected by many organizations. This was revealed by Daltron’s ISP Manager, Kametan Sibunakau, at the 3rd quarter Papua New Guinea Computer Society (PNGCS) seminar.
Sibunakau highlighted the need for a secure network infrastructure and a solid policy. His presentation was followed by EMTV‘s Madeleine Pake’s presentation on New Age Online Media and Vijesh Krishnamurhty’s take on Phishing.
The event ended with a forum on the impact of social networks presented by lecturers from the Institute of Business Studies (IBS).
Meanwhile the turnout was not as the organization had anticipated and President of the society, Nick Nades said the seminars were free because of the sponsors and in order to maintain that, the society had to show numbers.
