Android core not affected by Apple’s legal victory

While Apple’s legal victory over Samsung may have dampened spirits, the South Korean mobile maker’s partner, Google Inc, has come out saying that consumers should not be worried about the future of Android.
According to Google, the court decision does not affect the core of Android and the United States (US) patent office will reexamine several claims.
They also said that the mobile industry was moving fast and that technology providers are constantly coming up with new ideas to give their consumers new and innovative designs.
Apple had won more than a billion dollar lawsuit against the Samsung last Friday. A jury in California found that the company had violated several software and design patents belonging to the iPhone maker.
September 20 has been scheduled for the hearing of Apple’s demand to have Samsung products banned in the US.
Analysts have predicted that the court decision could have repercussions as smartphone makers will have to redesign their products to avoid infringing Apple patents.
The only phone might benefit from this is Windows Smartphone.
