Windows 8 to launch on October 25
October 26 is the date Microsoft has set to launch the highly publicized Windows 8 operating system.
According to Computerworld, the date comes as no surprise with many media outlets predicting the launch on October 25 after Windows 7 was released on October 24, 2009. The date is also significant as Microsoft has announced that Windows users can upgrade to the new OS for only $39.99. Users who upgrade will receive Windows 8 Pro.
