NICTA to host stakeholder workshop
The National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) will be hosting a stakeholders’ workshop at the Grand Papua Hotel in Port Moresby on Monday, November 27, 2017 starting at 10am.
According to a public notice by the government authority the workshop would be hosted by the Ministry of Communications, Information Technology (ICT) and Energy in collaboration with the Department of Communications and Information, and NICTA to discuss how Government functions and activities in the ICT sector can be streamlined and enhanced through effective partnership and collaboration.
The Minister for ICT and Energy, Sam Basil, is also expected to make an announcement on strategic priority initiatives, audits to be conducted on the ICT sector and the Integrated Government Information Systems (IGIS) and cybersecurity issues leading up to the APEC summit in November 2018.
