Huawei blamed for Telikom services facing disruption

Huawei blamed for the service disruption.
Subscribers to Telikom’s voice and data services around the Waigani and Gerehu areas will face service outage due to damages to the main fiber-optic cable in Waigani, and Huawei Technologies have been blamed as the cause.
According to a public notice by Telikom, the main affected areas include Parliament House, Cellnet, bemobile, Daltron, Hitron, BSP Gordons and Vulupinid Haus etc.
Telikom have blamed government contracted Huawei Technologies being the cause of the damages and is now cautioning all government and non-government agencies to contact Telikom’s Access Network Head of Department prior (AN HoD) to any contractual works across nationwide infrastructures.
