Uber CEO gets into heated argument with Uber Black driver

The CEO of Uber, Travis Kalanick, has reportedly been captured on a dash cam video in a heated argument with an Uber Black driver.
The video, released by Bloomberg, shows Kalanick arguing with the driver over his fares ending with the furious CEO getting of the vehicle and slamming the door.
The driver tells Kalanick that he lost US$97, 000 because of the CEO’s business decision, and that sparks a short but heated exchange between the two which culminates in Kalanick exiting with “Good luck!”
Bad publicity
Uber has had bad publicity in the recent weeks with the resignation of a top executive over allegations of sexual harassment, and internal leaks detailing sexism and unprofessional business practices.
Kalanick, on the Uber blog, issued a profound apology.
By now I’m sure you’ve seen the video where I treated an Uber driver disrespectfully. To say that I am ashamed is an extreme understatement. My job as your leader is to lead…and that starts with behaving in a way that makes us all proud. That is not what I did, and it cannot be explained away.
He further said he needed help and intended to get it.
It’s clear this video is a reflection of me—and the criticism we’ve received is a stark reminder that I must fundamentally change as a leader and grow up. This is the first time I’ve been willing to admit that I need leadership help and I intend to get it.
The video was recorded by Uber Black driver Fawzi Kamel on February 5.
