ANZ Bank Warns Public Against Hoax Emails
ANZ (PNG) Ltd bank has issued a warning to the general public regarding hoax emails being sent by fraudsters in attempts steal information from client.
ANZ bank specifically pointed out messages with the subject line ‘You have 1 New Security Message’. The bank issued a statement saying:
Please be wary of Hoax Emails with the subject ‘You have 1 New Security Message’ been sent out by alleged fraudsters claiming to be from ANZ.
The email further instructs customers to click on a link for your account to be validated. If you receive such emails, please DELETE immediate upon receipt.
ANZ bank clients are advised to contact their bank immediately if they have read or opened such emails.
