Temporary electronic banking outage for Westpac Bank clients
Electronic banking will be out for Westpac Bank clients for a few hours while an upgrade will be done on their platform.
According to the commercial bank, the outage will start late on Saturday night until the early morning on Sunday. In a public notice in the local dailies, they said the upgrade would take place from:
Saturday 22nd April from 11pm through to 5am Sunday 23rd April, 2017
The bank also advised their clients that all forms of electronic banking will be unavailable during that time. This includes ATM, EFTPOS, mobile banking and gateway services for purchases made over the internet for Westpac online merchants.
Interchange services with other banks will also be affected. This means Westpac clients will be unable to withdraw from other commercial banks during this period.
Westpac Bank has also issued an apology for the inconvenience.
