FIFA 16 to Include National Female Teams
Good news for gamers! Electronic Arts (EA) Sports FIFA 16 is set to hit shelves in Australia on September 24 and will be including national women’s teams, according to game’s official site.
FIFA 16 will also be introducing women’s teams into the franchise, targeting female gamers or anyone seeking a different experience. However, there will only be 12 teams including Germany, USA, France, Sweden, England, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Spain, China, Italy and Mexico to choose from for online or offline matches.
The characters/players in the game have been scanned from real life players from respective countries. This has been combined with highly advanced 3D animation, motion capture and player modelling to give an authentic experience.
Canada’s Christine Sinclair, Alex Morgan (USA) and England’s Stephanie Houghton are some of the stars used in this game.
Morgan, who plays forward for the Portland Thorns FC, said it was an honor to be included in the game. She said:
It is such an honor for women’s players and our team to be included in FIFA 16. I always wondered what it would be like to see our team in the game and it is very cool to know that it is now a reality.
Meanwhile, playable demos of the game are available for download for different platforms. The PlayStation version can be downloaded at the PSN Store, the Xbox at the Xbox Marketplace and PC at the Origin website.
