Product Review: Tecom CM-854N FM Modulator
The Tecom CM-854N FM Modulator is car accessory not something that I would not normally review. However, recently purchasing one from Star Works Office at Vision City, I have decided to show readers what this device is capable of.
The CM-854N FM Modulator, as the name suggests, is a small music player designed to convert audio signals into FM and send directly to your car stereo. This is a great accessory for cars with old stereos like mine which has a cassette player and radio.
There are many great features to this modulator including the ability to play MP3 and WMA file formats, support for USB and SD/MMC up to 16GB and a line in feature which I have not figured how to use yet.
It has 206 full channels from 87.5 – 108MHz making it legal to use in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and has an onscreen display showing song title, artist and lyrics if any.
The Tecom FM modulator comes with a remote control allowing anyone in the vehicle accessibility to the device.
Now this device seems redundant when you have the latest stereo system installed in your vehicle. However, considering the pricing, I bet many people would find this as a great alternative without the cost.
For anyone interested, the FM modulator cost me around K60.
