List of papers to be presented at the PNGCS 2014 Annual Seminar
The Papua New Guinea Computer Society (PNGCS) will be holding its 2014 annual seminar at the Holiday Inn in Port Moresby this Friday, and a number of interesting papers will be presented. Here is a rundown of the topics to be presented.
First up with we have Kametan Sibunakau; Pacific Technologies ISP Manager, who always has something interesting to present. He’s topic will be “IT Certifications and How to Jump Start Your IT Career”.
Listen to Kametan’s previous presentation on “How to Make Internet Affordable in PNG“.
Then Victor Bogalin; Head of Computing at the Institute of Business Studies will take us through “Abacus Computers”. This will also be followed by a presentation from another tertiary institute.
Vivian Edward from the International Training Institute (ITI) will present the “Online Assessment System for Distance Education” and Telikom PNG will finish the day with “Current Telikom Trends in ICT”.
The society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will also be held immediately after the seminar and participants are welcome to attend.
Now, the line-up may be adjusted at the day so I’d advise contacting Alice Areori on 325 4053 or pngcs.info@gmail.com for final confirmation.
