ESET NOD32 Antivirus Alert
When downloading definition updates from scanwith.com
I love using ESET NOD32 Antivirus. In fact, I recommended it to my department and now we are using it as our main protection against malicious software. However, it can be a bit possessive like when I tried to download an update from scanwith.com.
It turns out by default ESET NOD32 will not allow you to download from that site. You can download virus definitions from other antiviruses but not ESET. You will most likely see the message on the right. Fortunately, that can be easily circumvented.
Now before reading any further I recommend updating directly from ESET website to safe, and this is by no means an encouragement to pirate the product but a simple tweak that you might find interesting and informative.
In this post I show you how to bypass the ESET NOD32 Antivirus Alert when downloading definition updates from scanwith.com. Here is how to do it.
Open the ESET NOD32 setup and navigate to Web access protection under Antivirus and antispyware. Then enter the domain name scanwith.com/* and press click OK.

Now head back to your page and try the download again.
