NICTA approves license for local electronics firm
A local Lae based electronics company, Bitron Electronics, specialising in the installation of satellite dishes and cabling has been granted an operating license by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) regulatory body, National ICT Authority (NICTA).
The locally owned company’s general manager, Jab Mesa, thanked NICTA and said “this is the definition of trust and confidence.”
He said Papua New Guinean citizens with expertise in ICT are “important partners with a common goal to facilitate socioeconomic interventions that will contribute to Government Medium Term Development objectives and Vision 2050 in Papua New Guinea.”
Mesa said, “We are proud to be given the opportunity under laws of this country to also participate professionally in nation building using the ICT services industry provision.”
The company has a long term objective to assist bring in ICT services to the wider community and are capable executing projects within and outside the metropolitan area and into rural areas using Morobe as a starting point.
Bitron Electronics also deals within the lines of general electronics troubleshooting and repair.
