Microsoft Windows 8 targets the tablet market

Microsoft’s upcoming version of Windows will be build for tablet computers. Though, it will be able to run on the PC, it will be very much incorporate an interface and design that is tablet friendly.

The new start screen will be heavily based on the new Windows Phone 7 OS creating a ‘touch’ system. The idea is to merge the gap between tablet and PC. The software is being trialled on several devices and should hit the market sometime mid 2012.
