Who do I contact to subscribe? I don’t live in PNG, but another pacific island. I can receive the channels when they broadcast free.

    • Hi Mike, you can contact Digicel to subscribe. The signal is at the moment available to Port Moresby and Lae residents only. I believe you can receive the signal via satellite. However, you have to check with local authorities if this is allowed.

Please call (+675) 180 1515 for further details or you can message them on Facebook (www.facebook.com/digicelpng).

Please advise what a scramble channel is?

    • Hi Krystal,

A scrambled channel typically refers to a TV signal or channel that has been encrypted by the broadcaster and cannot be viewed with standard TV equipment. Viewers usually pay for the channel to be opened.

TV service providers like Hitron use set-top-boxes (STB /decoder) and a sort of prepaid card to decrypt the signal while Digicel uses the firmware (software) on the STB to do this.
